age of empires 2 lan setup
Im having a problem with playing over LAN in Age of Empires: Definitive Edition. I've downloaded the game from two sources: KaOs and Codex. The game from Codex does not work at all (I open the .exe after install but nothing happens, antivirus off), the version from KaOs works (singleplayer runs with no issues), but LAN is greyed out/non-clickable.
Higuys, Been playing age of empires rise of rome during lockdown last year with my partner and we normally play over LAN. Using the IP/TCP option in multiplayer. Had loads of fun and some exciting matches. Our set up is mainly 2 of us vs 5-6 AI on hardest difficulty. Just recently, whenever I host a game for my partner to join, no games show up.

6 I play Age of Kings (AOE 2) on my home LAN. It runs ridiculously slow/choppy. Both of the machines are well beyond the minimum requirements for the game to run, and my router is a fairly new Linksys with G wireless. (I get the lag with or without 1 or more of the machines using the wireless.)
